Overview:

Brian D has more than 30 years’ experience on complex, large projects as the Project Manager or Commissioning Manager. He is an outcome focussed individual who typically develops a dedicated successful team with him.

Brian D’s recent projects have been related to uranium underground mining and processing plants in the north of Saskatchewan which brings with it the challenges of extreme cold, remote working, changeable geology, flooding mines. Brian D’s area of responsibility typically ranged across Design, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Turnover to Operations.

Cigar Lake project had unique challenges with all of the above coupled with everyth

ing (mine spoil, labour, equipment etc.) going up or down a single 4.5m dia shaft 500m underground where the mine, process plant and Jet Blasting System (JBS) were being built. The logistics of which has challenges.

Brian D is very strong in risk identification and management, hence is a very good scrambler looking for and developing Plan B in case Plan A doesn’t work in order to keep the project moving forward.

Brian D provides valuable insight for clients, particularly from the Project Overview, Design, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Risk Management areas.
